Coach Parks Focused On Moving Forward Following 26-9 Loss

BEATRICE – It was a tough day all around for the SCC Storm on Wednesday.

The Storm fell to the Iowa Western Reivers 26-9 on their home field, allowing 30 hits to one of the top teams in NJCAA Division 1 baseball. Despite loss, SCC Head Coach Dion Parks said that he tells his team not to play to the scoreboard, no matter how ugly it may look.

Parks also said that his team was able to put together some quality at-bats as the game went on, but that too many mistakes were made on the mound, which is an area that he says needs to be improved moving forward.

Check out the interview above for more of Coach Parks’ thoughts on the matchup with the Reivers.
