Rick Squiers Says Lopers Played With A New Defensive Intensity

KEARNEY – UNK Head Volleyball Coach Rick Squiers said that the Lopers played with a defensive intensity he hadn’t yet seen this season in their 3-0 victory over Minot State.

Squiers said that the Beavers jumping out to an early lead in Saturday’s matchup seemingly snapped his team into the match, and played very good defensively for the rest of the match.

Squiers also said that a nearly minute and a half rally between the two teams in the second set was one of the best rallies he’s ever seen, and was another big key in the Lopers win over the Beavers.
