Alec Cromer Returns To Nebraska

BEATRICE – Former Beatrice High School football standout, Alec Cromer, is returning home to Nebraska.

Cromer, who was a two-year starter at quarterback and an all-state punter his junior and senior seasons for the Orangemen, plans to transfer from South Dakota State and walk-on at the University of Nebraska to focus on punting for new head coach, Scott Frost, and the Huskers.

Cromer will join former Beatrice teammate, Cameron Jurgens, on the Cornhuskers football roster.  Jurgens, who graduated from Beatrice High School on Sunday, is expected to compete for a tight end position for Nebraska.
