Fairbury Sends Geneva Home Early Thursday Night

FAIRBURY – The combination of a solid pitching performance and 15 total hits led to Fairbury ending Wednesday night’s Senior Legion game early.

They topped Geneva 8-0 in six innings of play.

Keyten Pfingsten, Blake Bauer and Carson York combined for a two-hitter on the mound in the shutout victory.

Fairbury’s offense erupted for 15 hits, with Pfingsten’s RBI single in the sixth ending the game.

Adam Wasserman had a big night at the plate. He finished 3-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Tanner Novotny also added three hits, including a double and an RBI.

Fairbury is now 6-10 on the Legion season, while Geneva drops to 2-4.
