COLUMBUS – The Shamrock Hall of Fame will have two new inductees following the schools announcement this weekend.
The Hall of Fame was created in 1999, and was formed to recognize persons who made significant contributions to their sport at Scotus Central Catholic, says a release. Those who can be recognized include, coaches, athletic directors, athletes, and boosters, says the release.
The 2018 Inductees are Gerry Englebert and Dick Van Dyke. (Information below provided by Scotus CC)
Gerry Engelbert is a forty-year member of the chain gang for Shamrock home football games and a 30-year timer/picker for home track meets. He is a long-term and very prolific volunteer who labors always with a smile and a “can do” spirit. He has supported many fundraising events including the annual Scotus Gala, SEF drives and Shamrock Booster Club activities.
Dick Van Dyke is a forty-year member of the chain gang for Shamrock home football games and long-time volunteer for home track meets. He has been an active member of the Shamrock Booster Club for more than forty years. He has supported and loyally attended many fundraising events including the annual Scotus Gala, SEF drives and Shamrock Booster Club activities.
