South Sioux City Girls Too Much for Discoverers

COLUMBUS, Neb. – The defending state champions were able to put away a pesky Columbus team on Saturday.

S. South City, who won Class B last season, took down CHS 55-39 on Saturday in Columbus.

The first quarter started low scoring, with the Lady Cardinals holding a slim 8-5 lead. But SSC would get rolling in the 2nd, heading into halftime with a 34-17 advantage.

They would keep that lead for the remainder of the game.

McKenna Sims led the way for South Sioux City with 14 points, Taryn Christensen was right behind her with 13.

Kennedy Jones and Bailey Keller were the high scorers for CHS with eight points each.
