Superior Knocks Off Unbeaten Hartington Cedar Catholic for State Title

LINCOLN, Neb. – Sixth-seeded Superior took down the one, two and three seed in Class C2 en route to their first volleyball state title in school history.

Superior defeated previously undefeated Hartington Cedar Catholic in five sets – 15-25, 25-21, 12-25, 25-14, 15-10 at Bob Devaney Sports Center on Saturday.

The Wildcat’s Kalynn Meyer, a Nebraska commit, had 27 kills in the win.

Hartington CC’s Maddie Wiesler led the way for the Lady Trojans with 14, Jada Cattau had 12.

Superior previously defeated #3 Centura and #2 Nebraska Christian in the state tournament.
