CCC Raiders Sign Three Walk-Ons For Soccer

COLUMBUS – The Central Community College women’s soccer team continues to grow with the signing of three walk-ons.

Central announced Thursday that (L-R) Abigail Ramirez, Veronica Ardon, and Joanna Canchan will all be playing for the Raiders next season.

Ramirez and Ardon are both graduates of Schuyler Central High School, and played soccer for the Warriors. Ardon is an academic transfer major at CCC, while Ramirez is majoring in elementary education.

Canchan is an academic transfer at CCC, and a 2018 graduate of Boys Town High School. She played soccer locally at Columbus High, before enrolling at Boys Town during her senior year.

The three players are the first walk-ons to be signed by Raiders Head Coach Jamie Bennett, as he prepares to helm the first-ever women’s soccer team in Central Community College history.
