Haymakers Still Have Some Work To Do

GOTHENBURG – Cozad Head Coach Brian Cargill says the Haymakers still have work to do, but he was pleased with some of the aspects of Friday’s 21-0 loss to Gothenburg.

The Haymaker defense was able to come up with a couple of potentially momentum-changing plays throughout the game, and Cargill says that the defense did all they could to put the team in a position to win.

Cargill also said that the second team offense and defense got in valuable playing time in the fourth quarter, as there is no substitute for live reps. Cozad will next take on Chase County on September 7.
