LINCOLN – Can we just sit back and marvel at the success of high school hoops in southeast Nebraska this season? Seven – SEVEN (two girls teams, five boys teams) – teams from across the News Channel Nebraska (KBIE / KNCY) coverage area will be competing at the Nebraska School Activities Association State Championships the next two weeks.

A tip of the cap to every team in the region. Even if you didn’t make the state tournament, you pushed the state qualifiers to the limits and helped them get to where they are today. Thank you for another entertaining year on the hardwood.

With that being said, congratulations to the Auburn girls, Falls City Sacred Heart girls and boys, Lourdes Central Catholic boys, Syracuse boys, Johnson-Brock boys and the Elmwood-Murdock boys basketball teams on qualifying to your respective state tournaments.

Let’s close the year with some hardware from Lincoln.
