Auburn falls to Ralston after Rams score seven runs in sixth inning

RALSTON – The Ralston baseball team broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the sixth inning by scoring seven runs and defeated Auburn, 9-5, Monday in Ralston.

Singles by Kyson Warner and Branden Lavigne in the top half of the seventh inning helped the Bulldogs tally three runs in the inning, but their rally would be cut short.

Auburn finished with eight total hits. Lavigne, John Kinnaman and Brody Darnell each had two hits.

Seth Zimmerman toed the rubber for the Bulldogs. He lasted five and a third innings, allowing seven hits and five runs while striking out three.

Auburn falls to 5-4 this season and will host Omaha South on Tuesday. Ralston improves to 8-6 and hosts Omaha Roncalli on Tuesday.
