Humberto Arteaga’s four hits help Chasers finish road sweep against Iowa Cubs

DES MOINES — Humberto Arteaga had a home run among his four hits and drove in four runs, and the Omaha Storm Chasers completed a four-game road sweep of the Iowa Cubs with an 8-1 victory Tuesday afternoon.

Arteaga’s two-run homer capped a three-run fourth inning. He then hit a two-run single as the Chasers scored four in the fifth to take an 8-0 lead.

Brian Flynn gave up a solo homer in the bottom of the fifth, but allowed just one other hit and struck out three in five innings to earn the win. Three Omaha relievers combined for four scoreless innings to close it out.

Cheslor Cuthbert and Bubba Starling also had multiple hits for the Chasers, who have a day off before opening a series at Oklahoma City at 7:05 p.m. Thursday.
