AUBURN – Kade Bredemeier doubled and later scored on a stolen base in the first inning and the Falls City Junior Legion Baseball team never looked back, eliminated Nebraska City from the Area B1 Tournament Saturday, 6-2.
The Blue Storm added four runs in the fourth inning on singles from Stephen Acton and Kyle Black.
Carson Bredemeier took the win, allowing six hits and one run over four and a third innings, striking out five. Acton threw two and two-thirds innings in relief.
Max Chaney was charged with the loss for the Post 8 Juniors. He allowed nine hits and six runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Chaney went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Nebraska City in hits.
Falls City improves to 10-9 and is scheduled to play Auburn in an elimination game Sunday afternoon at Auburn’s Tushla Field.
Post 8 ends the season at 7-16.
