Kaslon’s Aerial Assault Earns Him Player of the Game Honors

COLUMBUS – Trevor Kaslon likes dunking.

“It’s so easy for me to dunk,” the 6’6″ senior said after Tuesday’s 74-43 rout of Guardian Angels Central Catholic. “So whenever I have the chance, I go for it. It gets the crowd pumped up and is really fun.”

Tuesday’s game must have been a blast for Kaslon, who had five dunks on his way to 19 points. Kaslon said the overall team effort offensively was impressive.

“We needed a good offensive game,” Kaslon said. “We put up 74 points, which is more than any game last year when we had a really good team.”

Head Coach Tyler Swanson says the offensive balance was huge.

“We had a lot of guys step up and score,” Swanson said. “Colson Kosch hit a lot of shots early on. Any time he’s hitting shots from the perimeter that’s going to be good for us.”

Scotus will look to improve to 2-1 this Friday against Grand Island Central Catholic.
