Lehr’s All-Around Effort Earned Her Player of the Game Honors

COLUMBUS – Columbus Scotus junior Bailey Lehr is steadily improving, which is a scary proposition for the rest of Class C1.

Lehr finished with 16 points in the Shamrocks’ 64-39 win over Guardian Angels Central Catholic on Tuesday.

Lehr has been working on improving her game in all facets, but particularly in the post.

“We’ve been working on me being smarter with the ball instead of throwing it away,” the 5’10” post said. “I’ve been looking to shoot or pass it on, but playing smarter is definitely the key.”

Head Coach Jarrod Ridder said Lehr’s development will be big for Scotus this season.

“She has a great mid-range game,” the 9th-year head coach said. “But she’s also a great three-point shooter. She can really do a lot of great things for our team.”

Lehr and the 1-1 Shamrocks next face Grand Island Central Catholic on Friday.
