Lincoln Southeast Sweeps Beatrice American Legion Baseball Teams

LINCOLN – The Beatrice American Legion baseball teams suffered a sweep to Class-A Lincoln Southeast on Wednesday night in Lincoln.

Southeast broke a six-all tie by scoring six runs in the sixth inning to defeat the Beatrice Neapco Juniors, 12-6.

Matthew Jobman and Quin Zaborkrtsky both had a pair of hits and two RBI for the Beatrice Neapco Juniors, who fell to 7-2 on the season.

The Beatrice Exmark Seniors lost 4-1, despite out-hitting Southeast.

Griffen Vater had two of Beatrice’s five hits, and suffered the loss, allowing four runs on just two hits, while striking out eight in four innings of work.

Chase Woltemath drove in Kole Jurgens for the only Beatrice run, as the Exmark Seniors fell to 1-5 on the season.
