Neumann and Bunner Named as MVP’s in 8-Man All-Star Game

HASTINGS – Two local players ended their eight-man careers on a high note.

Ryan Neumann of Creighton and Bradley Bunner of Clarkson-Leigh were named as MVPs of the East Team at the 40th Annual 8-Man Sertoma All-Star game at Hastings College on Saturday.

Neumann pounded for 27 yards on 13 carries and scored twice to be named Offensive MVP.

Bunner was a force on defense, leading his team with 21 tackles to earn Defensive MVP honors.

Jacey Nutter was named the West Offensive MVP. The of Sandhills-Thedford product ran for 72 yards and passed for 66 yards and two TD’s.

Elm Creek’s LeShaun Thornabar was named Defensive MVP with two sacks and a blocked punt.

The West Team won 38-20.
