Plattsmouth snags their first victory of the season

PLATTSMOUTH – The Plattsmouth baseball team jumped out to a 5-2 lead on RBI’s from Logan Blotzer, Kade Parriott, Nathan Konkler and Jack Glup in the first two innings, and the Blue Devils hung on to win their first game of the season, 5-4, over Class A Omaha Northwest on Friday.

Plattsmouth scattered nine hits in the game. Konkler and Adam Eggert each collected two hits.

Eggert also earned the victory on the hill. He surrendered two runs on eight hits over six innings, striking out nine and walking zero. Glup started the game, lasting one inning, allowing one hit and two runs.

Northwest racked up nine hits.

Jacob Davis strikes out ten, but errors hurt Plattsmouth vs. Central City

Easton Hoschar finished 2-3 at the plate, Jacob Davis struck out 10 batters, but Plattsmouth couldn’t stay with Central City in a 7-3 loss on Friday night at Plattsmouth High School.

Davis was charged with the loss. He gave up five runs on five hits in five inning.

The Blue Devils were haunted by five errors.
