Westside Bounces Back With Road Win

NORFOLK – Omaha Westside bounced back from their first loss of the year with a hard-fought road win on Saturday.

The Warriors knocked-off Norfolk 54-43 on Saturday. Westside’s defense didn’t give Norfolk an easy shot all night, holding the Panthers to 19 first-half points – three of which came on a half-court buzzer-beater at the end of the half by Karly Kalin.

Norfolk had their chances, trimming the Westside lead down to 34-28 in the 3rd quarter. But Westside answered with an 11-2 run at that point and sealed the win.

Westside improves to 3-1 on the year. They’ll travel to Millard West on Friday. Norfolk slips to 0-3 with a road game against Columbus coming up on Friday.
