PERU – Peru State junior softball player Tyler Farrell (Brandon, Fla.)was named to the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) All-Conference Honorable Mention list.
The Heart All-Conference honors were announced Wednesday morning by conference officials during the postseason softball tournament.
Farrell was Peru State’s top hitter for 2019. She finished with a batting average of .361. Farrell had 30 RBI’s during the season.
Nationally, Farrell is listed in four Top 50 categories: 20th in total chances (330), 21st in total putouts (313), 25th in putouts per game (6.804), and 27th in chances per game (7.174).
In the Heart, Farrell finished fourth in chances per game, fifth in total chances, fifth in putouts per game, sixth in total putouts, tied for 19th in total bases (81), 20th in fielding percentage (.982), and 23rd in batting average.
This was Farrell’s first all-conference honor.
