INTERVIEW: Omaha Central Player of the Game Max Polk

LINCOLN, NE — The Omaha Central Eagles held top-seeded Bellevue West to 29 points in the first three quarters and cruised to a 71-57 win in the Class A semifinals.

The Eagles (22-5) imposed their will from the start.  They owned a 17-10 lead after the first quarter…

They increased their lead in the second quarter.  Bellevue West (26-2) scored just seven points in the quarter and Central led by 20 at halftime.

The Eagles didn’t let up in the second half.  They added 20 more points to their total and plenty of plays to the highlight reel.

The T-Birds’ bench nailed three-pointers in the final minutes to make the final score closer than the game felt.

Omaha Central will play Omaha South for the Class A championship at 6:30 PM on Saturday.
