Improbable Rally Leads York to State Title
York defeated Skutt 61-56 in double overtime to claim the program's second state title in school history.

LINCOLN – York claimed it’s second state championship in program history, and did so in dramatic fashion.

The Dukes found themselves trailing 40-31 with less than two minutes to play but came back to force overtime. Tied after the first overtime the game went to a second overtime where the Dukes came out on top 61-56.

York has won the football and basketball state titles in the 2017-18 school year. The Dukes’ first state basketball title came in 1944.
