COLUMBUS – Abby Podraza has signed her letter of intent to play college soccer.
The Columbus High Senior will head to play at Northeast Community College, after her letter signing on Wednesday. Columbus’ Head Girls Soccer Coach Luis Pullido says Podraza is a great visionary on the field, and will make a great addition for the Hawks.
“She’s someone that’s worked really hard in the offseason too, and I know she’s done other sports, but soccer’s one that she’s always worked her hardest at, and it’s one of those things where it’s paying off. She deserves to be playing in college,” says Pulido.
Podraza says after her visit she knew the school was the right fit.
“I’m excited, I’m excited to be at Northeast. I like the school. I really like the nursing program, and I bonded with the coaching staff,” says Podraza.
Podraza says she plans to study nursing, and hopes to attend the University of Nebraska Medical Center to continue her education.
