WAYNE – Lakeview’s Britney Stock and Landon Vogt saw the top of the medal stand at the Wayne Invitational.
The Lakeview boys and girls saw some solid performances across the board on Thursday, after the meet was rescheduled from earlier this week, due to weather.
Stock kicked things off strong grabbing 1st place in the 200 meter dash and 2nd in the 100 meter. Cailin Briggs also snagged a top finish with a second place throw in the shot put at 35-08.25.
The boys team had a good showing in the running events, led by Landon Vogt, who took 1st in the 800 with a time of 2:17.21, and 2nd in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11:00.60. Henggeler finished right behind Vogt in the 3200, grabbing 3rd, but also finished 2nd in the 1600 with a time of 5:09.55.
Dylan Heesacker rounded out the top finishes for the Vikings medaling in both the 110 meter hurdles and 300 meter hurdles, grabbing 3rd and 2nd respectively.
The girls team finished in 5th overall, while the boys team took 4th.
